HAIR ENVY OF THE DAY: GWEN STEFANI'S MODERN BEEHIVE!

When it comes to updos, the beehive is perhaps the most misunderstood hairstyle this generation has ever seen. But as Gwen Stefani reminded us today as she strolled through Beverly Hills, what's old is new.

Gwen cleverly gave this '60s-inspired classic a casual, modern twist––literally. From the front, Gwen looks like she could be sporting a loose bun or chignon behind her side-swept blonde bangs. But once she turns around, you can see it's actually a loose beehive.

During the '60s, the beehive was all about height, rising vertically. But in Gwen's version, the loose twist (and the mass of  teased locks beneath the twist) extends towards the back, creating a relaxed, contemporary look that we can't wait to try at home. Plus, those leopard-print sunglasses enhance her hairdo's retro flavor without overpowering it. Gwen, you've done it again.

SUPERMODELS CRAWL AND SHIMMY IN BEYONCE'S NEW VIDEO!

Supermodels Jourdan Dunn, Joan Smalls, and Chanel Iman star in Beyonce's much-buzzed about video for "Yonce," a sexy, stylized romp that showcases enough style, sex appeal, and attitude to empower all of Brooklyn, if not the world.

The steamy track is one of 17 amazing videos that comprise Mrs. Carter's surprise new visual album, a super hot opus she unleashed upon an unsuspecting public on Friday at midnight, bam, just like that. Surprise! Now that we've had a chance to fully absorb the musical, cultural, and stylistic impact of Bey's latest coup, we can safely say that the voyeuristic, gritty-glam look of "Yonce" harkens back to an era long ago: the '90s.

During this time of unapologetic decadence and over-the-top glamour, a good music video could be as visually striking––and as stylistically inspiring––as a high-fashion editorial shoot. Featuring stylized images of the aforementioned models, clad in stunning combinations of leather, fishnet, fur, straps, statement jewelry, and little else, "Yonce" oozes that effortlessly sexy, '90s high-fashion aesthetic of George Michael's "Freedom."(Remember Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington, Cindy Crawford, and Linda Evangelista lip-syncing?)

Yet while "Yonce" definintely borrows this vibe, it does so with a gritty, dirty, and erotic urban twist that brings out the glamour in street- looks like grills (yes, grills), statement rings, stiletto nails, and chains.

(Also, one of Beyonce's outfits in this video is a molded jumpsuit designed by Tom Ford for YSL. No biggie.) In terms of attitude, think Madonna's Truth or Dare, or, even "Music," when Madge played the madam in the back of the limo, looking at women the way men do, having fun, and radiating feminine power like nobody's business. Beyonce and her girls seem to be playing with that gaze as well, embracing its style, and enjoying the hell out of it. So are we.

4 PRACTICAL SPA TREATMENTS YOU HAVE TO TRY AT LEAST ONCE IN YOUR LIFE!

While a visit to the spa may seem like a luxury expense for some, it's important to go all out and treat yourself to a pampering indulgence every once in a while. You only live once, and besides, if you choose a treatment that'll benefit your look over time, that makes it worthwhile, right?

Here are four spa treatments we think you'll love.

Alpha-Hydroxy Acid Peel: Since the years unfortunately show up on your face first, stop time in its tracks with a revitalizing glycolic peel. With minimal downtime, it helps dissolve dead, dull skin cells and diminish the appearance of wrinkles, age spots and blemishes, ultimately revealing a smooth, radiant, even-toned complexion.

 Perfect for: Youth yearners.

Oxygen Facial: Obviously worn out? Thankfully, this particular treatment takes you from fatigued to fabulous in sixty minutes flat. A gentle stream of highly pressurized oxygen infuses a nutrient- and botanical-rich serum deep into the skin to strengthen collagen and plump fine lines while smoothing over a rough, uneven texture.

Perfect for: The terribly tired.

Mud Mask: While you might not enjoy sloshing around in mud as much as a pig, there are a bevy of beauty benefits associated with having a mud mask painted all over your body—especially if you’re acne-prone (and don’t mind getting a little dirty). Often formulated with mineral-rich sludge extracted from the purportedly healing waters of the Dead Sea, a mud mask actually detoxifies and deep cleanses the skin, extracting excess sebum and grime trapped deep within your pores.

Perfect for: Oil overproducers.

Cosmetic Teeth Whitening: Everyone knows that a gorgeous grin is a girl’s best accessory, so if you want to flash a vibrantly white model-like smile, pass on the custom bleaching trays and whitening strips—especially when time is of the essence. Just one hour with an enamel expert (armed with whitening gel and an LED light) can deliver a beautifully blinding set of pearly whites.

MERCY JOHNSON RELEASES STUNNING NEW PHOTOS!

EKU EDEWOR GIVES MEN SOME TIPS ON BEING ROMANTIC!

Nigerian Tv presenter Eku Edewor in an interview with Punch declared Nigerian men are actually romantic and for those who are not, she has some tips for you.

The Nigerian men I have dated have been very romantic; I guess it depends on the type of man one attracts and also what one deems romantic. Know whom you’re with, some guys don’t want to say cheesy things and look into your eyes but they will always make sure your happiness comes first. Not everything has to be a large “romantic” gesture. Romance has to do with being selfless.

Simple things like, choosing to stay with your girlfriend all weekend watching movies instead of being at the clubs all weekend with the boys is romantic; others are sending flowers for no reason at all, surprise dinners, heartfelt messages. If your partner really knows you and loves you, he’ll find ways to be romantic and find ways to make you happy. I actually find Nigerian guys far more active and good when it comes to making large romantic statements.

A tip to guys, flowers always makes women happy, even if they say they don’t love flowers. They probably do and if sending chocolates with cards is what your lady wants, it really won’t hurt or take a lot of your time.

FASHIONABLY FESTIVE: NINE MONTHS PREGNANT RACHEL ZOE STEPS OUT IN THIGH-HIGH SUEDE BOOTS WITH HER FAMILY AT BABY2BABY HOLIDAY PARTY!

She's due to give birth to her second child - reportedly a son - any day now.So it was quite apt that Rachel Zoe threw her support behind charity Baby2Baby as they celebrated the festive season with their Third Annual Holiday Party in Los Angeles on Saturday.

The event, which was presented by Jessica Alba's The Honest Company, was attended by a bevy of stars and their children, with designer Rachel accompanied to the bash by husband Rodger Berman and their son, Skyler. Despite her advanced stage of pregnancy, the mom-to-be looked svelte and stylish as ever in her trademark all-black ensemble, consisting of pants, a simple loose-fitting top, statement thigh-high suede boots and a long jacket with fur bodice.

While the star covered up with large dark sunglasses as she made her way into the event, when she took them off for photos inside, her tired eyes were visible to all.Though the 42-year-old did make a concerted effort to disguise them, with perfectly applied fresh, natural make-up and a slick of black kohl eyeliner.

Her long blonde tresses - which perfectly complemented her chunky gold necklace - were worn in a sleek style, with her signature fringe nicely framing her features.

Her husband of 17 years rocked a smart-casual look, in dark jeans, black shoes and a light grey T-shirt worn under a matching knit cardigan with large gold double-breasted button design.Rodger, also 42, was still sporting his long brunette mane, while he also had a noticeable amount of facial hair.

The couple's gorgeous son Skyler was too cute for words in his stylish ensemble. The two-and-a-half-year-old wore black harem-style pants tucked into cute little motorcycle boots, along with a black jumper with white bird print design. Sticking with his penchant for headwear, the tyke sported a cream knit beanie, with long tendrils of hair framing his face.

BARACK OBAMA TAKES SELFIE AT MANDELA'S MEMORIAL SERVICE!

Barack Obama has attracted criticism for taking a selfie at the memorial service for Nelson Mandela. Posing with David Cameron and Danish PM Helle Thorning-Schmidt, the US President leaned in and smiled for the candid snap - whilst Michelle Obama (appearing somewhat frosty), looked away. The formerly shut down Tumblr, Selfies At Funerals, re-opened to comment on the below picture, saying "Our work here is done". News sites quickly picked up on the offending snap, with some critcizing the trio for acting like "giggling teenagers".

President Obama, who led the eulogies during the service, called Mandela a "giant of history", comparing him to Martin Luther King Jr and Abraham Lincoln and adding "He tells us what's possible not just in the pages of dusty history books, but in our own lives as well".

80,000 mourners gathered at Soweto stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa to honour the late Nelson Mandela yesterday. Among them were Hundreds of world leaders and celebrities including South African actress Charlize Theron, supermodel Naomi Campbell and U2 singer Bono also attended the ceremony, as well as thousands of ordinary citizens who walked for miles to celebrate Mandela's remarkable life and anti-apartheid achievements by singing and dancing in the stadium.

Speaking on behalf of Mandela's family, Thanduxolo Mandela said that "Tata has gone from before our eyes but never from our hearts and minds".

Charlize Theron remembered Mandela as a man with "just a tremendous memory of love and compassion and warmth".

Mandela's body will now lie in state for three days, before the state funeral on Sunday.

RADIANT ORCHID IS PANTONE'S OFFICIAL COLOR OF 2014- GET SOME COLOURFUL INSPIRATION HERE!

Get ready to wear lots and lots of purple next year: Pantone, the global authority on all things hue-related, has just announced Radiant Orchid as 2014's Color of the Year.

To come up with this particular shade, Pantone's team scoured the worlds of art, entertainment, fashion, travel and even sports to determine the most influential colors in each respective industry.

In case you've forgotten, Emerald was 2013's Color of the Year; in 2012, it was Tangerine Tango. So why Radiant Orchid for 2014? “While the 2013 color of the year, PANTONE 17-5641 Emerald, served as a symbol of growth, renewal and prosperity, Radiant Orchid reaches across the color wheel to intrigue the eye and spark the imagination,” explains Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, in this morning's release. "An enchanting harmony of fuchsia, purple and pink undertones, Radiant Orchid inspires confidence and emanates great joy, love and health. It is a captivating purple, one that draws you in with its beguiling charm.” Sounds good to us.

From a fashion standpoint, we can totally see what inspired Pantone's pick; pale, vibrant purples were all over the Spring 2014 runways at Prabal Gurung, Missoni, Burberry Prorsum and Chanel, to name just a few.

And beauty-wise, we think Radiant Orchid's a great choice: just think of all those bold lip colors to come.

HOW SEX TAPE SCANDAL MOVED ME UP- CHIDINMA NARRATES!

Kora award winner and Ex Project Fame winner, Chidinma Ekile, revealed in a recent interview to Punch how she has been able to manage the recent controversies surrounding her.

Read the abstracts from the interview below:

About the sex video:I woke up one morning and I was greeted on the internet with ‘Chidinma and sex tape’. I was worried primarily because of my mother. I didn’t let her see the video but I had to show her the photos. I didn’t want to go out that day. I couldn’t go out. But my mum felt otherwise. She told me to ignore the mischief makers.

I almost took some actions but I thought against it. I met Sound Sultan on a set. He told me, ‘Babe, you are now a star. I welcome you officially into the industry.’ I trended for three days. Even people who didn’t know me got to know me. My fan base grew. And then, I was happy because more than 90 per cent of the public didn’t believe I was the one in that video. There were people who didn’t need to see the video to believe I couldn’t have done such thing.

I am just grateful to everyone who didn’t believe the story. My twitter account was hacked and the people created another account. They kept releasing nasty pictures and they were even responding to the tweets as if I was the one doing it. I was just watching and laughing. It put me in the spotlight. I used it for good. Ever since I started, I have been scared of scandals. I didn’t want to have any. But I realized that I cannot run away from it. It is just normal. It is not everybody who is happy seeing me rise. Some people are trying to do something to stop me. But sex tape is not enough to stop me. They should bring up something else. The sex tape just took me to another level in my career. It moved me up.

This is no more ‘little’ Chidinma. It didn’t bring me down in any way. I am still doing a lot of things.About marriage Everybody wants to marry me but I am not ready for marriage. I still have to make more money before I consider marriage. I have been linked with so many people. People cannot imagine me being a saint. They are just looking for something to attach to me.

LADY GAGA'S 'MONA LISA' DRESS!

Last week, her Lady Lindy-inspired jumpsuit caught our attention. This week, she embodies the iconic Mona Lisa–literally. From Tokyo to London, Lady Gaga's always fascinating fashion-as-art adventure continues as the pop star wore this awe-inspiring Mona Lisa dress, and makeup to match, as she stepped out of her London hotel and canoodled with adoring fans.

Whether Gaga is making a statement about artist versus muse, paying homage to Van Gogh's masterpiece, or simply pointing out the inevitable parallels between one beatific icon and another, we can't wait to see what she wears next. How about you?

KATE MIDDLETON'S $900 HAIRCUT, PRINCE HARRY'S FACE CREAM WILL SHOCK YOU!

Like the rest of the world, we freak out when Kate Middleton does anything to her hair. But a $984 haircut requires a major freak-out moment.

Rossano Ferretti told Vanity Fair he gave the Duchess an almost $1,000 haircut. #wow [The Cut]

Speaking of royals, we bet you can't guess which face cream is the choice of Prince Harry? That's right; it's the same one your mom probably stores in her beauty arsenol.Elizabeth arden's eight hour cream.(ELLE)

WOULD YOU EVER: MEET TAMARA MELLON'S SWEET REVENGE LEATHER BOOTS!

Tamara Mellon, former Jimmy Choo designer and author of In My Shoes: A Memoir, launched her own eponymous label earlier this week, complete with apparel, footwear, and interestingly enough—a hybrid of the two.Which Mellon accurately describes as "a thigh boot that pulls right up into a legging."

No doubt they're a super stylish winter wardrobe addition that you can wear for years and years (as long as you don't gain weight), but we'd be remiss if we didn't ask these three questions (that everyone is probably thinking):
1) Since they're technically pants, does that mean you can only wear them once a week in public (for fear of being scorned for repeating an outfit too soon)?
2) How weird will it be to send them off to the cleaners each month, and the cobbler for new soles and taps each season?
3) How awkward will it be when you turn up at someone's home and they ask you to remove your shoes?

These are certainly things one should seriously consider before purchasing a pricey pair of pants-boots, Obviously we won't wear them to the airport—trying to go through security would be a complete and utter nightmare—but you have to admit, they will make getting dressed in the morning that much easier. All we have to do is pull on an oversize sweater, tee, or tunic, grab a pair of earrings, a necklace, and a bracelet or two, and step out the door.
