GOOD BROWS: A GUIDE!

BIG brows have been in the fashion spotlight for several seasons and, now that you've grown them out, they key is to keep them full but tidy.

Autumn/winter 2013's handsome beauty looks were always underpinned by a pair of strong and well-groomed brows, with Stella McCartney, Chloe, Balmain and Victoria Beckham showcasing the most stylish examples.

And the "natural look" is no longer enough - brow make-up is essential for truly polished results."Pencils are great for women who want to draw in shape - filling brows will make them look fuller and define your eye area," says Shavata Singh, owner of Shavata Brow Studio. "

To apply, use soft, sweeping movements."Even women with naturally thick brows should use brow colour for added depth - just pick a colour close to your own to fill in gaps and enhance shape.

To complete the look, and for extra polish, eyebrow gel will hold hairs neatly in place all day.But the ultimate building block for great brows is paying them plenty of attention - and seeking the help of a brow expert is a good start.

Having your brows professionally shaped will provide the perfect base for a style that complements your own face and eye shape. From there, you can carry on the good work yourself. And work it is - maintenance should be daily, according to Singh: "It's a lot easier to tweeze one or two stray hairs everyday and maintain the correct shape, than doing it once a week."

SPOTLIGHT ON THE SKIRT!

AS the collections embrace a new-found femininity, so fashion's focus falls firmly on the skirt.

The common theme here is a longer line: the mini enjoys an occasional outing, but it is knee-length and calf-skimming numbers that best capture the womanly moment.

Indeed, why expose everything when a flash of ankle or well-turned calf is so much more alluring.....

VICTORIA BECKHAM GUEST EDITS FRENCH VOGUE!

VICTORIA BECKHAM is the guest editor-in-chief of French Vogue's December issue.

The designer worked with the magazine's editor Emmanuelle Alt to create intimate photo shoots starring herself and David Beckham, and candid interviews.

"Being asked to be the guest editor of the Christmas issue of Vogue Paris this year was an incredible honour," says Beckham. "Working with Emmanuelle Alt and her team was both exciting and inspiring, and I am so proud of what we have created."

Inside the issue is a detailed profile on David Beckham ("We've had our ups and downs, but we're so proud of each other.");  fashion stories photographed by David Sims, as well as Inez & Vinoodh; excerpts from Beckham's personal photo album; and a "teatime chat" with Valentino, one of the designer's good friends.

"We handed over the running of this issue to a woman who, throughout our working together, has proved to be the exact opposite of her public image," said Alt.

"She is spontaneous with a great sense of humour; humble, yet at the same time driven by a healthy ambition. She is a perfectionist, like everyone who is passionate about their work."

Kim Kardashian cooked a Thanksgiving dinner.  Yes...you read that right. Her bestie Jonathan, posted a pic on Instagram where he praised Kim's kitchen skills.  "Who knew @KimKardashian could really throw down in the kitchen! Happy Thanksgiving #MiamiTG " Ummm.....it doesn't look very appealing to us.  You'd think Kim would have put a little more effort into the food presentation. Shouldn't they be dining on Givenchy/Louis Vuitton/Adidas plates?

ALEXA CHUNG IS THE NEW FACE OF LONGCHAMP!

The Vogue cover girl stars in both the brand's spring/summer 2014 and autumn/winter 2014 campaigns.

"For the new Escales collection - which is cheerful, colourful and bursting with energy - we needed a woman who was both chic and modern," said the label's international communications director, Marie-Sabine Leclercq.

"Alexa Chung is the woman who embodies it the best. Her enchanting gaze, which is very strong and very present, gives the campaign a lot of personality. She has energy and confidence."

Chung's relationship with the label started after she DJ'd at the brand's London flagship opening party in September. A meeting the following deal cemented the deal, and the campaign was shot in St-Tropez last month by Max Vadukul.

"The whole team fell under her spell," said Leclercq. "She immediately had a real vision and made a very on-point contribution to the looks for the shoot. There was such a synergy and an energy that we all went home delighted with this initial experience with her."

Previous Longchamp muses include Kate Moss and Coco Rocha.
