We don't see nearly enough of Rachel Bilson's cute and practical street style. Today, however, we're in luck. The actress took to the sidewalks of Beverly Hills in a look we can't help but admire. Why? Because it breaks all the rules—without going Nicki Minaj.
You know that simple color law that is practically ingrained in our DNA? That taboo mixture of black and brown? Rachel threw it out and stomped all over it in a caramel silk skirt, jet ankle boots and a patent belt. Karen Walker's tortoiseshell shades offered a smart melange of the two hues while her newly darkened locks and that heavy duty Chanel tote toughened things up.
The mere fact she was able to mix a ladylike skirt with western footwear and not look like she's en route to a square dance meet-up is a pretty lofty accomplishment.
